The evening was serene. I sat, waited and watched the moon rising quite elegantly. It was 78 degrees and the trees stood still. I held a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, golden in color from Marlborough, New Zealand ... and surrendered to this magnificent movement of nature: the color of the sky metamorphosed from burnt orange to light violet as the moon awakened ... and ascended.
Then, there it was ... the color of the sky deepening into a dark blue shade ... and then into the inevitable darkness as the full moon soared illuminating so brightly and ferociously.
